LINDEE HOSHIKAWA is a singer-songwriter based in Leavenworth, WA and Bellevue, WA. When she was 4 years old, Lindee remembers watching MTV and upon seeing the legendary Debbie Gibson proclaiming: "That is what I'm gonna do too!!" After years of training and practicing the prophecy was fulfilled (almost and in due time). Lindee has become a busy professional working musician, singing and touring the west coast and Canada honing her craft and sharing her beautiful and positive sound.
Lindee's earliest musical influences were of American classic musicals, such as "Singing in The Rain," "American in Paris," "Meet Me in St Louis." Japanese pop music from the 80's and 90's such as Matsuda Seiko, Mr. Children and Utada Hikaru, to name a few favorites. Later in her teens, Lindee fell in love with Jazz and Classical music. Lindee's all-time favorite singer is the timeless Ella Fitzgerald.
Lindee has always lived between Japan and the Seattle area and writes her songs in both Japanese and English. She performed around Tokyo and Yokohama (2008 to 2012) and has deep love and appreciation for her roots there. Lindee plans to continue to span her music and build a strong following in both parent-lands. She currently holds a weekly performing residencies at The Attic at Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie, WA and at Vino Prost (with Sergio and Andy Cuevas) in Leavenworth, WA.
Lindee's 1st release is a 6-song album "Songs From Tokyo" (2012) co-produced by Enrique Gonzales Muller. Her debut release "Long Road" EP (2007) was produced by Justin Froese.
Lindee loves geology, Chinese (kung-fu style) tea, hiking, skiing and onsen.
