LINDEE HOSHIKAWA earned her BA in Communications from Temple University, Japan Campus, and worked on numerous film, TV, music and media projects during 2009-2011 in the Tokyo area. In 2009, Lindee was awarded the Creative Arts Research Grant (CARAS) from Temple University, and became a creative partner for Global Lives Project, assistant directing the Lebanon shoot and acting as post-production lead for the Kazakhstan shoot. In 2010, she was awarded the Academic Award; Community Outreach and Promising Professional Awards from Temple University. In 2010, Lindee associate-produced the award-winning documentary film Tokyo Waka, a visual poem about Tokyo, its people and 20,000 crows directed by Stylo Films. Lindee’s music has been used in the award-winning documentary film, NIKKEI by Venezuelan director, Kaori Flores Yonekura.
In 2011, after experiencing the Tōhoku Earthquake and subsequent tsunami and nuclear disasters, Lindee was compelled to commit herself to the creation of music. Lindee now holds multiple performing residencies in both Western and Eastern Washington and performs around 160 shows per year. Lindee’s foundation is in jazz, but she also incorporates pop, blues and soul into her performances and original compositions.
Lindee's earliest musical influences were of American classic musicals, such as "Singing in The Rain," "American in Paris," "Meet Me in St Louis." Japanese pop music from the 80's and 90's such as Matsuda Seiko, Mr. Children and Utada Hikaru. Later in her teens, Lindee fell in love with Jazz and Classical music. Lindee's all-time favorite singer is the incomparable Ella Fitzgerald.
Lindee has recorded and self-released three titles: “Long Road EP” (2007) produced by Justin Froese, “Songs From Tokyo” (2012) and “Mother Miriam” (2015) with Latin Grammy award-winning producer, Enrique Gonzalez Müller. Lindee studied vocal jazz with the late Michiko I. Pumpian, and guitar with Charles McCrone of Kaleidoscope Music School. Lindee has performed at the YMCA AK Guy Awards Luncheon, Eastside Aki Matsuri, and many other events in the Pacific Northwest.

When she was 4 years old, Lindee remembers watching MTV and upon seeing the legendary Debbie Gibson proclaiming: "That is what I'm gonna do too!!" After years of training and practicing the prophecy was fulfilled (almost and in due time). Lindee has become a busy professional working musician, singing and touring the west coast and Canada honing her craft and sharing her beautiful and positive sound.
Lindee's earliest musical influences were of American classic musicals, such as "Singing in The Rain," "American in Paris," "Meet Me in St Louis." Japanese pop music from the 80's and 90's such as Matsuda Seiko, Mr. Children and Utada Hikaru, to name a few favorites. Later in her teens, Lindee fell in love with Jazz and Classical music. She currently holds a weekly performing residencies at The Attic at Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie, WA and at Vino Prost (with Sergio and Andy Cuevas) in Leavenworth, WA.

Lindee loves geology, Chinese (kung-fu style) tea, hiking, skiing and onsen.
